## The Midpoint Formula

In math, the midpoint is the middle point of a line segment.

In two dimensions, for a line segment with endpoints (x1,y1) and (x2,y2), the midpoint is the halfway point, midpoint = ((x1+x2)/2,(y1+y2)/2).
